Wedgefield Plantation Golf Club (843) 448-2124
Wedgefield Plantation is one of the five courses in the Classic Golf Group (others are Burning Ridge, Black Bear, Indian Wells and Founders Club) Located in Georgetown south of Myrtle Beach, this is a traditional parkland design featuring tree lined fairways with plenty of room off the tee.
When visiting, go to the newer building as the old, stand alone pro shop has been closed. The clubhouse features a restaurant and bar and practice facilities include a range with sand bunker, plus putting/shipping green. This is a course that has been around for a long time so don't expect the fancy clubhouse amenities or groomed cart paths and playing surfaces. Wedgefield is a value round with a fair price.structure.
There are 5 sets of tees designed to provide opportunities for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a round here. The tips measure 7034 yards and play to a slope of 136.
