CROWN PARK GOLF CLUB (843-756-3200)
Myrtle Beach Golf Course Review
Crown Park, situated just north of Myrtle Beach is a good value golf experience with a thoughtful layout and prices that make a visit here worthwhile. Crown park offers the consistent conditioning and friendly service that keeps customers coming back for more, and is an excellent course to mix in with some of the more expensive upscale layouts on a Myrtle Beach golf vacation.
The course features 4 sets of tees that are fairly evenly interspersed yardage wide. The tips measure 6502 yards with a 128 slope, while alternate sets play to distances and slopes measuring 6004 yards/119 slope, 5342 yards/104 slope for men and 121 for women, and 4597 yards with a slope of 113 for ladies hitting from the forward tees. This is not a particulary long course by today's standards, but there are sufficient obstacles to provide a fair yet challenging test.
There are 33 strategically placed sand bunkers - situated near the landing zones or greenside, and water hazards in the form of perimeter ponds or crossing creeks come into play on 14 holes, including one with all carry on the par three finishing hole. Most of the fairways are tree lined and rolling along a mildly undulating terrain, with ample room off for slightly inaccurate tee shots.
On property is a full scale practice facility with targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker and putting green. The clubhouse features a pro shop, grill/bar/lounge serving breakfast and lunch items, and banquet/outing facilities for up to 120 guests. There also is an outdoor patio with excellent golf course views.
Golfers will appreciate the Pro Link GPS on all carts, and the sprinkler heads are also measured to the center of the green. Each tee box also has measurement blocks. For more info, visit our page for the course, with direct link to their website by clicking here.
